Cape Talk Interview
Cape Talk Radio contacted me a few days ago. There is a weekly American TV program
called "Conspiracies". This week they featured the Hollow Earth. Cape Talk wanted me
to appear briefly on monday morning during their drive-time show to chat about the idea.
I watched the show and noted, with interest that Dennis Crenshaw was featured on it. I'll
have to ask him when this was originally recorded.
Anyway, just for Cape Talk listeners, I wanted to set up links to two important things.
The first is to the exercise Scott and I did with a simulation of seismic waves. This
explains in a simple manner how much sense the seismology of a Hollow Planet can make.
Click here to see the visual presentation. An
industrial scientist in the USA with a strong background in seismology was very impressed
with this exercise. He suggested I take it further if I wanted scientists to take it
seriously. He suggested I do a further analysis. Unfortunately, it is complex and I do
not have the time and knowledge to take it further. It is a complex analysis of wave
motion which may require the writing of a program to trace wave fronts. I would need
someone to help me with this.
The other item which I think will astound people is Dr Marvin Herndon, a nuclear scientist
in the USA who is about to go public (this week in fact), on the Art Bell Show to discuss
nuclear reactions inside the Earth. This is important because most of my book, Hollow Planets
was a discussion about how nuclear reactions at the core of planets might create their
magnetic fields. I mentioned Dr Herndon, back then, when nobody in the public had heard
his name. Herndon is one of several nuclear scientists (going back to the 1940's) who have
said that there might be a nuclear fission reaction deep inside the Earth. It is other
scientists who oppose this line of thinking. Dr Herndon has done a tremendous amount of
work proving that Jupiter, Saturn and Earth must have nuclear reactions in their core.
Herndon says that there is a nuclear fission reaction 5 miles wide at the centre of the
Earth which creates the Earth's magnetic field. If
this is accepted by science then it will result in every geology, seismology and astronomy
book having to be rewritten. I have always believed this is but step #1 towards proving that
planets are Hollow. Herndon is going public now to try to spread the word of this, and
I suggest people keep their eyes open. This may be the greatest shock in the scientific
world that we have seen for decades.

Some Amazing Arctic Mysteries
Here are some incredible Arctic mysteries to whet your appetite:-
1. As a result of my first appearance on the Art Bell show in September 1999, a listener told me
about an amazing 4 page article from Popular Science magazine in 1923.
2. Below is a photograph of a piece of land which does not exist.
The most fascinating aspect of Dr Cook's story was his photograph of a place he called Bradley Land. He had taken a photograph of a very large piece of land out in the Arctic Ocean to the north west of Canada.

In Cook's Bradley Land photograph (above), we can see his sledges in the foreground and large hills in the background. Those are the hills of Bradley Land - a land which does not exist! Cook marked Bradley Land on his maps. I was struck by the fact that Bradley Land was very close to Peary's Crocker Land! It is very interesting that the two foremost polar explorers of that time should both give solid reports of land in virtually the same area. Since Cook was later thrown in prison (for a crime he never committed) he was simply accused of faking this photograph.
3. 100 years ago an Amercian scientist, Dr R. Harris of the Geodetic Survey, noted something strange
about tides along the northern coastline of Alaska. He wrote in an article in the National Geographic
that he believed a massive piece of land was interfering with the tide coming from the north. Take a
look at this image produced by a modern scientist who is a tidal specialist. It shows how all tides in the
Arctic are dampened and die down to the West of Canada. The round dark blue spot is not far from
where Admiral Peary sited Crocker Land.

Sci Fi Interview falls through: Dan Akroyd's Show cancelled
In November I got an e-mail from the Associate Producer of Dan Akroyd's new talk show
Out There. They wanted me to be one of 66 guests. It would be broadcast
on the Sci Fi channel. I was to be in New York on 18th January 2002. I booked my flight and
was starting to pack a few days before leaving. Then I got an e-mail from the Producer on
saturday evening saying I must cancel the flight as the entire series had been cancelled.
It turned out that there had been a buy-out of the Sci Fi Channel. The new owners at first
said the show would be "retooled". But within days it was apparent they wanted to shut it
down for good. The last filming occurred on the wednesday, 2 days before I was due to appear.
Due to the sudden loss of this contract, Dan Akroyd's production company had to fire the team
of people who had been preparing the series.
It was a sad ending for me. Since the publication of my book, three TV opportunities have
come up and they all were dropped. The first was when Fox TV was interested in hiring a crew to
interview me here in Johannesburg. In December, the Discovery Channel in Canada was interested
in my Polar expedition (probably to debunk it! - see Expedition notes above). But after a week
of exchanging information with them they decided to drop it.
I am not all that keen to appear on TV. But what I really wanted
to try on Dan's show was to make use of the opportunity to use various graphics (especially
regarding seismology) and to put that out on TV to a mass audience. I tried very hard to talk
Dan's people into producing a documentary or a show dedicated to parts of my book. I have tried
this before with others but have never had anyone follow-through on the idea. My main interest
in TV would be to use it for its visual power in getting my ideas out. Hopefully one day I will
get someone to do this. From what I have learned, a movie/documentary costs about $1,000 per
minute to produce. So a 30 minute show would cost $30,000 - so it is quite an expensive exercise -
but not impossible. Maybe, as these ideas spread someone will finally do it. My book is highly
suitable for this. I even tried in South Africa to get someone to do a documentary just about
my ideas on Venus (where I have lots of unique ideas which are expressed in drawings). But so
far no luck. I do believe even one show, dedicated either to seismology or Venus would be
devastating and people would want to see more.

A Balanced Book Review
Someone on my list recently reminded me of a most balanced review he wrote of Hollow Planets
when he first read it. I have put it at the top of the Book Reviews section. It is worth a
read by those who are not familiar with the book.

My Upcoming book: Government by Deception
In 2001, especially after my last interview on the Art Bell show, I wanted to tell people
much more about my discoveries relating to the Arctic. I planned to sit down in March 2001
and begin writing a book about Arctic Mysteries because I felt it was so important.
But the situation in Zimbabwe, to the north of us, began deteriorating more than ever. I
come from there, and eventually at the suggestion of friends, I stopped my Polar Research
and wrote a book about the Political situation in Zimbabwe and South Africa and the terrible
things which can come from the horrid situation up there (which is unravelling even faster
this year and we may see bloodshed, starvation, etc up there). It is with extreme reluctance
that I dared write something scathingly political. But I had to get certain things off my
chest because the Mass Media ignores so much and tells only half a story. I'm going to get
into a lot of trouble for doing this - but it is something I must do.
In this new book I did some very thorough research regarding Propaganda and Brainwashing.
I did it because it has a definite place in the Arctic book and in all UFO and Hollow Earth
research. So I wrote some very comprehensive things in that book which are applicable to people
around the world. I hope to sit down later this year and return to the more sedate world of
Arctic mysteries and will then complete that work which I believe is very important.
Government by Deception is due out in March/April 2002 on the US Market. Click on the image
below to go and look at the website dealing with that book.

Subterranean Myths and Mysteries website
All a good friend of mine, Mike Mott recently appeared on the Art Bell show. He produced
an electronic book some time ago called Caverns, Cauldrons and Concealed Creatures.
In his appearance Mike discussed subteranean issues and the Hollow Earth.
Mike has contributed some excellent (and popular articles) to the journals section of this website.
I support Mike's hard work and
will be giving Mike carte blanche in the near future to put more articles on this website.

The Latest on Quantum Gravity
When I wrote Hollow Planets I was very impressed with the theories of Microwave Engineer,
Ron Kotas. Ron says there is a link between electricity and gravity. I asked him how things
were going. It turns out that in spite of his lectures via science societies and the fact that
he debates directly with scientists on their level, they just give him the cold shoulder. Sad
isn't it? Here's Ron's update:-
Dear Jan:
Received your e-mail ok. In relation to my gravity theory, there is
another APS (American Physical Society) meeting in Albequeque, New Mexico in April. I don't know if
I'll be able to attend. I still have a lot to do with my actual book, and
that might take a number of years to complete.
When I wrote to NASA in relation to the Foucault Pendulum article they had
on the web, I found that the head scientist even discounted the
information NASA provided in its own web site. He didn't believe the
pendulum shifted at all and thought I was trying to tell him the earth was
shifting 13.5 degrees. Some of these people seem pretty well mind set on
Einstein's general relativity, and sometimes it seems hopeless to bring up
anything new or different.
Keep working on things. Is your New York trip business or pleasure.
Maybe a combination of both. I hope you have a good trip.

What is IT?
Apparently the inventor of IT/Ginger will be revealing what exactly it is. Is it a
new type of scooter? Based on the original information released, I had wondered whether
it was a personal anti-gravity craft? That was the only thing which seemed to make
sense to me. And gravity is of tremendous importance to the subject of Hollow Planets.
But maybe it was all a lot of good marketing gimmickry just to draw everyone's attention?
Well, we'll find out in the next day or so whether we were all led down the garden path
or whether there is something there.

My Upcoming Sci Fi Channel Appearance
Early in November I got an e-mail out of the blue inviting me to appear on a new TV series,
on the Sci Fi channel. The series is to be hosted by Dan Akroyd and will be called:
Out There.
My passport had expired a year ago (because of fears of Y2K, the South African government
had ordered all passports to only be valid until 31/12/1999). Anyhow, I'm busy rushing to
get it renewed and to get a VISA before Christmas.
I'll be in the USA for a few days, with most of my expenses being paid by the Sci Fi channel.
The interview will be taped on 18th
January 2002. The series will be aired from approximately March. As soon as I know when the
interview will be shown, I will make a note on this website. Don't be surprised when you see
a decidedly Jewish-looking guy from Africa on the TV set talking about Hollow Planets! That'll
be me!
Here are some excerpts from my e-mail communications with the nice folks on the
Out There team.
Jan,
I am an associate producer for the new half-hour interview show "Out
There", hosted by Dan Aykroyd on the SciFi Channel here in the United
States. I'm writing you to inform you of my team's great interest in
having you appear as a special guest on our program, where we would love
to explore your work on "hollow planet" theory in some depth.
First, let me tell you a little bit more about the show. "Out There" will
reach over 50 million American viewers and be broadcast several times in
both the United States and markets abroad throughout 2002 and beyond. Our
host, the famous actor and comedian Dan Aykroyd, is an enthusiast and
aficionado of the paranormal and related studies. The object of our show
is not to persuade, nor is it to debunk. The aim is to take stories, like
yours, that may be unfamiliar to mainstream audiences and make them more
accessible, so that members of the greater population can form their own
educated opinions and hopefully promote further study.
I look forward to hearing from you shortly. Thank you very much, Jan, for
your consideration.
Regards,
Brian Henderson
Associate Producer
"Out There"
SciFi Channel
Here is another excerpt from another communication I had with Brian. What
is interesting in the piece below is that Dan and his brother Peter are
already familiar with my work and specifically requested my appearance. Brian
wrote:-
Your appearance would be for one half-hour program, meaning approximately
23 minutes of actual air time (commercial spots take up about 7 minutes).
The format is essentially pure conversation, with our host Dan Aykroyd
"learning" along with the audience as you discuss your work. The taping
would be roughly an hour or an hour-and-a-half, so the entire process on
your part would not take very long at all. We would put you up in
accomodations here in New York City for two nights and provide you with a
per diem so that you may enjoy the visit.
I was given your name by Dan and his brother, Peter, who are avid
enthusiasts of the world of the unexplained and already have some
familiarity with your work. They have asked for you specifically.
Again, Jan, thank you for the quick reply. I've been reading through your
works myself and I must say your theories are very fascinating.
Best,
Brian
Hello Jan,
This is just to address a couple questions about the show that you raised
in your recent e-mail posting:
"Dan Aykroyd's Out There" is a brand new talk show that will be taping in
January 2002 and will air on the SciFi Channel beginning in the spring of
2002, most likely March.
The audience figure of 50 million viewers is within the U.S. alone (with
the show available to 75 million American homes... so if it gets more
popular, more people will watch!). The show will also be broadcast to
several other countries, but I'm not personally certain of which ones and
even less certain how many thousands (millions?) of viewers this adds to
the total.
Just thought you'd like that info. I speak for all of us here at the show
when I say that we sincerely hope the VISA issues all get ironed out. I
think this will be a blockbuster of an interview and we hope you can join
us!
Best,
Brian
